The cassette contained a few versions, saved as development progressed, so I turned these into a git history, and then fixed a bug and added a feature or two. Fun to do some 6809 assembly coding again.

The workflow was pretty good. A script combines the assembler, conversion to a cassette-tape format, and running XRoar with automatic loading and running of the program, using
entr
to trigger that process when the source assembler file changes.

The git repo can be found on GitHub:

https://github.com/bennorth/dragon32-tetris

Future work

In the photo at the top, the version start at “TET5”. After getting this dusting-off project done, I found some other tapes with earlier versions. Extracting them and folding into the git history somehow might be an interesting thing to do one day.

Continuing the Dragon 32 theme, I extracted from cassette a sequence of versions of a Tetris clone I wrote long ago, and tidied it up a bit.

[1

post-4029","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","comments-off
["GET
